The formula is there for everyone to see around the league and still no one gets it.

Teams that have continual success to be competitive for playoff spots have front office and coaching continuity and the ones that blow it up take 3-4 years to get there if they even have the patience to wait that long. And those that don't tend to suck year after year because this has become such an instant gratification league. It is my opinion that anywhere you see a coaching staff not get at least 4 years it is the problem of bad ownership. They are either hiring the wrong people or too stupid to have the patience to allow a plan to develop.
