here's something to do in the off season-
no looking... when the saints entered the nfl it necessitated going from 2 conferences to four 4 team divisions. in that first year they were in the same division as dallas, philly, and washington. in 1968 they sitched divisions with the giants. question- what other teams were in that 1968 division? 20 points they switched with the giants again in 1969. in 1970 the full nfl/afl merger took place. from then on it was east-central-west divisions, afc & nfc. question- from 1967 to 1969 what were the names of the four nfc (nfl) divisions? 25 points to understand what kind of legacy you are rooting for with the halos you should know they only have a winning record against three franchises lifetime. one of those is the houston texans 1-0. question- name one of the other two. 10 points question- what other team has beaten the saints the most? (42 times) 5 points question- what is the first year the saints had a winning record? 5 points question- name any saints pro bowl player from 1967 through 1977. 30 points question- name all three saint head coaches that have had sons become nfl head coaches. 5 points don't post here for others fun. answers later tonight or tomorrow a.m. [Edited on 24/2/2005 by LKelley67] |

- - - - - - - - -------------------------here - - - - - *** in 1967 the saints entered the nfl in the new 4 division set up with the cowboys, eagles, and redskins. - - ***they switched with the giants for one season with cleveland browns 10-4 st louis cardinals 9-4-1 SAINTS 4-9-1 pittsburgh steelers 2-11-1 - - t***he four divisions were called The Central, which is the same fout teams it is today. The division with dallas, washington, and philly that rotated giants/saints was called The Capitol. That is still the NFC East today. The Coastal division was made up of the Baltimore Colts, the Los Angeles Rams, 49ers, and Falcons. The Century division with standings above was the one the Giants were in during \'67 and \'69, and the Saints \'68. - - ***The only other teams N.O, has a winning record against are the Colts 5-4 and Bucaneers 17-9 (right whodi) - - the team that has beaten the saints the most is the niners 20-45 (right again who). the next most losses come from the team beaten the most, atlanta 30-42. they have been in the same division with these the most. the rams are up there too 29-36. - - ***first year over .500, 1987 (correct w) ya think 2 decades was long enough? - - ***this is impressive. pro bowl saints for the first 11 years of existence. not winning, just single top players- 1967 dave whitsell db 1969 tony baker rb, andy livingston rb, and jake kupp g 1970 thru 1977- nada, zero, not one - - ***coaches breeding coaches- jim mora and jim mora (but not jr. he sez) bum phillips, wade phillips and dick nolan and jim nolan 49ers this year - - - - 100 possible points. high scorer check in. saintLB? |

Well, at least I got a couple right without looking elsewhere. I knew the Bucs one cause I got this bud on another board who is a Bucs fan and I rub the head to head in his face all the time. Then he throws out the Superbowl ring and I gotta bow.
