Defensive stats, A cause of Illg Contact Rule?
Not only with the Saints but around the NFL. Would Manning have beat Marino's record without this penalty? How many of his drives were kept alive by them? I remember the Saints getting killed in this scenerio after the D had 3 and outs ready and done, Out comes the flag and the automatic 1st down. Is this penalty excessivley called by officials? Receivers are using this to their adv at every turn, Literally. They simply make one turn into the corner or saftey and it's like an aoutomatic flag. Remember the KC game full of these and personnel fouls. 20 penalties for 151 yds combined. There are a lot of people posting awesome stats info, does anyone have some pertaining to the Saints Def Discipline costing them more then the actual play of the D? I know they were'nt perfect anyways but if penalties are frusturating to fans, Imagine the players??
