I pulling for them to win so all of their players will think they are worth a fortune and their salary cap with become the worst in the league and all of their players will get old and they won't be able to tell good FAs from bad FAs...

I said on some other thread that they are overrated. I guess I was wrong but I still cant stand them. I like Manning and I am definitely rooting for him but Carolina has been blowing teams out. This isn't good.

Its a copycat league but in this case, what they have done this year is one of the oldest cliche in football. Defense wins championships. Denver's D has carried them throughout the season. Carolina, to an extent, is the same with one exception, Newton. There offense is almost old school, establish the run control the tempo. Newton is there X factor because of his athletic ability which makes there option plays work so well. Opposing teams are so scared of him running, if a DB peeks in the backfield and Newton acts like he is gonna run, they bite on it and then the receiver is wide open. No one this year has figured out how to defend them. The formula seems easy but no can do it.

So as far as what we do about it if they win, I say we do the same thing we have been trying to do. Get some damn defense!! Payton knows the answer to get us where we want to go. You can see the envy from him when he was on ESPN Sunday. We have to build up the front 7 by all means necessary.

I too dislike Newton. I hate the dancing after every first down and how he intentionally uses it and his posing antics to taunt defenses. Now don't get me wrong, I dislike any player that dances and is a "me" player with rehearsed and non-spontaneous acts. It's self glorification and nothing more. I didn't like any player on the Saints that did this. Joe Horn was an idiot for his personal antics. I hated when Lance Moore would dance after scoring or first downs. Even Cooks' archer shot bugs me. This is a team sport not a personal glorification exhibition. Act like a professional. This is why I like guys like Colston and Brees. There is no clown act to go with the sport.
