oline problems last two years overshadows this
2013 playoffs
Armstead is playing well, Streif is solid, DLP was solid, Evans was healthy. Yet Brees struggled some. We did beat eagles, but Brees threw two picks. If not for running the ball we would not have won. Seattle was worse. In the first half though we never even attempted to pass. In the second half, one of Brees big passes was a overhead pass to Meachem, that went over a defender. That could have easily been picked. Colston scored a TD toward the end. Graham was too contained. Hill was not used enough. Moore did nothing. Even running the ball we well we still lost that game. And it was said Seattle was playing some sort of prevent. Those two games are examples of what the offense dealt with then. If Cooks was playing then(he was in college) how much does he help here? Maybe against Philadelphia, but I doubt he helps against Seattle. Yet we did move the ball more than this last year in those road games, but we got to maybe the 40 yard line before having to punt or kick a missed fg. You cannot trust what we have to deal with what our offense dealt with then. |

Not sure what you are trying to say but I will agree that the offensive line has been one of the weak links in this team. Armstead is a great talent, I love the addition of Unger and like drafting Peat. Now I want to see them add another high draft pick to this unit (2nd round) to replace Evans

Good Scouting, Good Draft Preparation, Good Draft Discipline, and as many darts (picks) you can acquire and throw at the board are what we need... |

I'm just saying. Getting HFA means winning tough road games. I hope Payton is smarter than some of the fans. Because Brees' one thing he has not accomplished is winning tough road games against top defenses that run the clock down. That's the one negative so far on his resume. And more teams than 2009 are like this now. |

I'm still not sold on Peat. He has a lot of work to do on his footwork and positioning techniques and I dont even see him being better than strief unless he drastically improves in the offseason.

Peat is still a baby. Just wait until he becomes a man. He's going to dominate in the trenches.

Re: oline problems last two years overshadows this
Charlie Brown was a TE that got converted to OT while at USC, I want someone that's been playing Oline for 6-7 years before they make it to the NFL
