Worse franchise move?
It is pretty obvious to me that it is (a). Two first rounders or Trufant in stead of Sully... wtf. Who remembers who else was available in that draft? We could have had two of them!

We could have had Andre Woolfolk, Nick Barnett, Willis Mcgahee, Dallas Clark. Nothing superspecial, but at least the above players start.
But imagine the hero Jake would have been performing at the level he has the last 2 years with us, instead of Carolina. Every Saints fan in LA would rock his jersey. |

Imagine Jake playing behind an offensive line with Victor Riley and Wayne Gandy and having to face the Panthers and Bucs defense twice per year. And imagne Jake would have had the worst defense in the NFL on the other side of the ball. Hero? I highly doubt that. |

I know the Jake what-if is a tired discussion, so after this I will let it go. I truly believe having a QB like Jake in the huddle and under center would raise the level of play for the offense, and would also alleviate some of those gut-wrenching false start penalties.

Hey I know Brooks talks a lot, But what he said about Jake was somewhat true. Still uncalled for but he did beat him out for the job and that\'s that. I agree with the O line thing, Delhomme isn\'t half as quick as Brooks and opposing LB\'s & DE\'s are on Brooks so fast HE seems slow at times!
