Re: Marques Colston: Show The Love
He literally and figuratively came out of nowhere
He was so unknown that most fantasy leagues had him listed as a TE when he was a rookie, and people cleaned up He can still give us 40-5 catches next year, and with so much dead money, I think he stays |

A role model what more needs to said

Turned out to be a good thing, it lead to some further in-fighting and finally came out the same three guys in a twelve-team league had been in collusion since the league's first season... Didn't play in a money league for five years - and still prefer leagues with friends... But I knew the Saints were heading for good times when we finally were that team that got that player at the end of the draft... Colston and Pierre Thomas knocking off the Ohio State fourth round punk... Knew good things were coming... |

Re: Marques Colston: Show The Love
One of the best draft picks in franchise history.
Be thankful to Brees also for another reason, in his and also in Paytons book they both write how Colston endured a terrible training camp to the point where he would not be given a roster spot. However Brees went to Payton and lobbied for Colston, saying he saw something special in him and he could be great if Brees was given more time to work with him. Payton granted that and Colston started week 1 in 2006 and never looked back. If this is Colston's last year then I just want to say thanks for everything Marques, nobody else at your position embodies a truer professional when the position is populated by diva's. |
