2016 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'd so like to see the Saints add WR Moritz Böhringer to the practice squad and have him ready by no later than next season... In our scheme, with out coaches, the guy could be a beast!...

PFF showing our projected 3WR Set; they still have Coleman in; Snead will slide to the slot with Thomas outside...

Guess they're grading individuals average because of record - fair enough...

I'd expect our Nickel to have another safety or Finnegan, not rookie Da'Vante Harris in their...

Not that I don't think the rookie couldn't handle the task...

Nice to see Kruger in there though; and I'd expect Robertson or even Stupar to replace Laurinaitis...

Haha
Maybe not

And in the Bears final preseason game of the year versus the Cleveland Browns, Gould missed two extra points, and had a third kick barely make it through the uprights.

A possible indicator that the Josh Sitton signing is near up in Chicago.

Some posters here may be crushed if that happens.

Maybe but they have over 20ml in cap space already acc to over the cap. So doesnt seem like theyd need to cut him. Sounds like his legs gone

There is no excuse for it. I know the kicking is a bit different but look at Rugby were a fly half can kick the ball on the drop, often positionally very well and also takes the place kicking. I know the timing is different but if trained properly i see no reason a player could learn. Same with a centre really, why cant they learn to snap longer from a younger age
Well basically because the NFL as a whole is so extremely specialized, and conservative. Few coaches dare to try radical changes.

Long snapping and the regular shotgun snap is very very different. A proper long snap is best described throwing a pass backwards between your legs. It take a lot of time and reps to be able to do it as consistent as expected from an NFL LS. I honestly don't think a C has the time to do it. Maybe if you has a backup C that could.
