Battling about AB, battling about the defense and such, but man I am burned out. I can't do it any more. I just don't have the energy any more to try and explain my position, the position of others who agree, and deciphering the counter arguments. Not that it wasn't a rush for a while, it's just not worth it. We ll have our opinions, it just appears there are some who are willing to listen to a different perspective and some who have their mind made up but still wanna challenge what you say, with no doubt in their mind they are not gonna listen, but just to argue. Everyone I think has a valid point, but those points often times get bogged down in just trying to prove what you say is right, and not actually LISTENING to what the other person is saying. But it's all good. I am just done with those debates.
Another reason I am done is we have a very important time coming up in the next few days. The opening of free agency. This is where we will see what this team is gonna be about this year. We will get to gauge how serious they are about winning. We all know the mistakes of the past, and will be able to tell if they are BSing us again or not about this player or that player. One good thing that has come of the failures I have found is mostly all of us know how to evaluate a player and if he will be able to help or not. We will see what Darren Howard brings to us in a trade. We will see if Joe gets his money(although that may come later). We will see what kind of moves the team is making to prepare for the draft. I am very excited and interested. So, so long AB discussions, bye bye defense sucks discussions, the weight has been lifted. It's a new time for me at BNG. Let's hope that free agency lifts us skeptics to a sense of new found hope, and that this org is really gonna try this time. And let's hope there is enough news to carry us into the draft. And let's hope it is more applause for the moves than head scratching this year. |

Guess it\'s official, then? Are the \"AB Haters\" retreating?
Hurts to pack up the tent, but I\'ve been increasingly giving up as well. When AB\'s not on the field every week reminding folks how \"great\" he is, memories seem to get a little short. Oh well ... we fought the good fight. And unless our wishes are granted, we\'ll be proven right once again next season (for the 5th year in a row!). To better days... |

I agree with your themes on the subjects above, just not the degree. I\'m starting to think that there should be some kind of stat that measures the positive/negative impact of a particular player.
Note that the Saints most impactful acquisition didn\'t happen until the season started.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

Where the problems come in at is one someone takes a debate personally.
Or, when someone makes it personal!! I could care less what someone thinks of Brooks. But, calling names, making little snide comments, and the alike isn\'t needed. IF you know someone very well and neiter take it persoanally, it\'s not such a bad thing. I\'m able to do that with WhoDat and Gator, and they\'re able to do that with me, but even we go a little overboard at times. But, we all settle down and we hold no grudges. Battle it out with stats, articles, opinions, or whatever.... But, it\'s best to leave the personal atttacks out of it. You may get frustrated because you can\'t convince someone you\'re right. Just leave the name calling out of it. I\'m talking to no one in particualar. Just stating my opinion... :P |
