And that would be under the assumption that there isnt another option that is better. Nothing says he would have to take snaps away from anyone. That being said I agree there is no reason to keep him on for nostagias sake. If there is a better option you gotta take it. Wouldnt surprise me if we see him back mid season if there is an injury. The Saints have proven they are willing to cut ties with fan favorites and major producers if they think it will help the team. Happened with Reggie, Moore, Ivory, Stinch, Gleason etc etc. and several others.
