Marques Colston says goodbye and thanks to Saints

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Not to be critical Smash, but you could have had two (2) more images in there of Colston burning Atlanta and Tampa Bay... My favorite is of Payton shaking his hand pre-game; still QB at heart, Payton really appreciates Dwight ...

Marques was one of the best and classiest ever to suit up for us. Forever a Saint.

I once read a comment from Brees where he stated that Colston could read a defense better than most QB's. It seemed that he and Brees were always on the same page. The rare combination of size, hands and intellect meshed with Payton's high IQ offense and made Colston great.

Gonna miss him.

That explains how Colston excelled so well in finding holes in the zone.

A while back it was Joe Horn, now Colston ... big shoes to fill again at WR1.

Knowing how loved and respected Colston is by the Saints and fans, is there a chance the failclowns would try to sign Colston to rub it in our face?

It was bad enough that Hebert, Anderson & Horn played for them! It would break my heart if Colston went there!

I guess it would depend on if Colston still wants to play.

He's going out quietly too. Thanks for the memories.

Consummate professional, a very rare breed of professional, his absence in a Saints uniform will be greatly missed. He will retire a Saint when the time comes, and will be celebrated by the Saint nation. It was a pleasure Mr. Colston and thank you!
