New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will be the active career leader in passing yards and tied with Tom Brady for the active lead in touchdowns once Peyton Manning announces his retirement.
The retirement announcement is expected to come Monday, ESPN reported. Manning has thrown for 71,940 yards and 539 touchdowns -- both are NFL records -- over 18 seasons, including one he missed to recover from multiple neck procedures. Brees has thrown for 60,903 yards and 428 touchdowns over 14 seasons, the first four with the San Diego Chargers and the last 10 with the Saints. The Manning retirement also will make Brees the active career leader in completions (5,365), attempts (8,085) and interceptions (205).  read more Attached Thumbnails

The passing title is well within Drew's reach, a few good seasons and it's his.
I wonder if he'll get the recognition he deserves then.... |

its a no brainer brees will pass manning in the next 2-3 years, will it be with the saints?i'm hoping the heck he is.

For Brees to surpass Manning in career yards and touchdowns is not out of the question.
