Saints to increase price of season tickets for many seats
The Saints are raising the cost of season tickets for the first time since 2014.
The team said in a letter sent to season ticket holders that it will be raising prices for around 50 percent of the seats, with increases of no more than $5 per game for most of those sections. This comes on the heels of the installation of new video boards. improved audio systems and increased lighting in the Mercedes Benz-Superdome. The Saints contributed $25 million to the fund used to pay for those improvements. The Saints are coming off consecutive 7-9 seasons. read more | |

That is not how you build your fan base especially after two consecutive 7-9 seasons. I guess it's not that expensive compared to nine dollar beers.

Every home game is sold out before the season starts. You can't build your fan base any larger than that. Supply and demand drives pricing.
