This is Sean Payton's team and he's got Drew Brees for a quarterback...

...Offense is how this team rolls and it rolls with multiple weapons...

The defense has the personnel now to slow a team to twenty points...

But we win running, passing up and down the field and scoring touchdowns...

We've got at least six selections and they'll be spread out on both sides of da ball...

I just hope it's Treadwell with the early pick if selecting a WR, if not; hope we trade back and not reach...

We still need a DT and DE...

We are still stuck with Richardson as our base DE. Sure, Hau can come in on passing downs but he isn't holding the edge in the base.

Richardson was likely the worst starting DE in the league last year, he'd be a practice squad player on most teams.

I'd love the pick, and not because I'm a Bama homer.

After the way Ingram and Harper were treated I'd rather see Bama players go elsewhere and succeed.

Reed or Robinson would be fine with me.

Not too keen on Reggie Ragland in the B&G tho unless we go base 3-4. He is the reincarnation of Vaughan Johnson, but with more speed.

Reed has my vote and has it by week 6 of the 2015 bama season. Robinson does not do much for me

Absolutely +1.

If the Saints FO don't select a DE/OLB in the first rd you will not get a starting one in the 2nd. Were picking @ 12 & 47, meaning it's highly likely a defensive player is getting picked ahead and 36 picks after us. If we select a WR (Treadwell) in the first, Brees jobs will appear a little easier & it's a sexy pick however it still won't help that tired a$% defense and we are looking at 7-9, 8-8 ... again.

J Reed is a day one starter, high football IQ, & immediate impact player at the position. I'd be elated if we select him at 12.

Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville: There aren't many one-gap pass-rush tackles in the draft, but Rankins is one of them, and he's being projected as a top 12-15 pick. His combine performance was excellent, which only improved his stock. However, his lack of bulk and inconsistent ability to shed better blockers inside make him a liability as an every-down player. Good coaching should help him improve in this area, and maybe he will become a constant threat to the quarterback. But he's really a better value in the late-first/early second round than he is in the top half of Round 1.

A'Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama: It was a tough ask for a college lineman to move Robinson off the ball, and he had enough athleticism to make plays against lesser competition. But he plays too upright, which will make life difficult for him when he meets veteran NFL offensive linemen with experience staying low and playing with leverage. Will he be a strong rotational player who can eat up space and challenge linemen? Yes. Will he be the sort of difference-maker (especially rushing the pass) expected by teams and fans if picked in the top 15 overall? Not unless he plays lower and has his motor running hot on every play.
Robinson maybe not the best pick for us at #12...

Not really some have him going at the 10 spot.
