Should we trade Coleman?
My gut tells me that he will not be productive enough if he is not on the field enough. If he cannot be complimentary to the offense, then it might be best to get a extra late draft pick for him if we can. He produced against Carolina but Snead was out that game. He's going to be the fourth target on the team(or fifth depending on Spiller) behind Cooks, Fleener, Snead and that's before factoring in a FA pickup or draft pick. That just might be enough for his mistakes to be glaring and potentially game costing.

Re: Should we trade Coleman?
I doubt there would be a trade market for Coleman, best option is to let him battle for a job in training camp and see what happens.

Trade our #3 WR? I would say no. He is cheap and can be above avg.

I don't see us getting any value for him in a trade but believe he can bring good things to the offence so no thanks.

If he improves just a little its hard to replace his size. I still think we draft one in the later rounds but I would keep coleman.

Re: Should we trade Coleman?
The only mistake he made all year was dropping a wide open pass, as a ex-wide receiver myself I have to admit that it happens to every single WR at some time.
You start to rush your mechanics because you catch a glimpse of how much open field you have. I think he'll be a very good #3 receiver for us, he got a chance this year and really started stringing nice games together towards the end. |

Re: Should we trade Coleman?
Why? He has shown improvement each and every year. Baby steps but none the less he is moving forward and not taking steps backwards, Besides all we have are 6' WR as it is. An UDFA that is your #4 WR is not a bad thing. I call it a win win
Lets ride this cheap horse a bit longer and see what happens. |

Re: Should we trade Coleman?
Not sure what some are expecting out of BC at this stage of his career. He has a been a productive player for the B&G (he is only 23). Go back and review game film ... he made solid catches against the likes of Tyrun Matthieu, Josh Norman & Trufant's of the world.
I hardly believe Sean Payton is ready to give up on the kid. We shouldn't either. |
