The "color rush" concept, which began last season, put teams in single-color uniform pants and jerseys, and those sometimes matched a team-colored helmet.

Wood said the NFL would not permit him to give details about what the uniforms will look like. He expected the jerseys to be revealed closer to the schedule release in April.

Don't they do this in college? Specifically at Oregon? Here's a solid black that might work with a fleur on the helmet, gold trim ... IDK, some team colors just do not lend to this, IMO, everyone can't do all black ... might be a good time for Tampa to bring back the 'creamsicle' color, :lol: ... all this is just gonna' hurt your eyes and make you listen to the game on the radio, :neutral:.

Saints have an all-black uni already? Looks good in black, I just wonder about teams like Miami, Arizona, Detroit, that have a lot of light/pastel colors in their uni's ... it could get pretty ugly out there, :lol:.

sorry i am a traditionalist and believe in the old school ways. have pride in the uni and build a history so it means some thing.

Yeah, with the exception of the Pittsburgh Steelers "bumblebee" jersey, I think I'd rather see throwback uni's, #shrug, but hey, it's all about marketing and attracting new fans, I suppose ... just look at these though ... looks like the battle of the ketchup/mustard bottles, :lol:.

I like the color rush uniforms, especially the ones the Rams wore. I'm definitely not a traditionalist when it comes to uniforms. It we took our Black uniforms and only used the gold for outlines with no white in the jerseys I think they'd be bad ass. Basically like the Oregon pic, just gold where the neon Green is.

But it's the offseason. There's nothing going on just yet. Might as well talk a little fashion.

I propose we give my former teammate DeAndre Brown, WR from Southern Miss a tryout out though if we're talking football.

Unfortunately for us, the "color rush" concept would not allow for black, as black is the absence of color. Since TNF is a division game, it is going to be either red (Clowns, Bucs) or powder blue (Pants) vs some aberration of the color gold... or honey mustard.

The worst of all is the Steelers "bumblebee" jersey. Not only is the shirt ugly, but OMG the pants....watch the game on TV in a bar, from a distance, the white guys on the team look like they are not wearing any!

Ignore the current team colors- stick to basics.
Teams warm up in sweats, and then go to midfield for the coin toss and color-wheel spin.
First team spins. Second team spins and can either keep their color or steal. Trainers use iron-on letters and numbers to save time.

Then you forget all of the Bullsh** and PLAY FOOTBALL

I guess they'll grow on people and attract more fans to the game, but it just makes me (as a fan) feel like I'm being phased out ... sorta' like how you used to only be able to get Chuck Taylor's in black or white, but now they're available in all kinds of weird flavours ... I don't wear that stuff, #shrug. At least it's only Thursday Nite.

You young guys gotta' understand, when you hit a certain age, your eyesight starts going, ie bifocals, light/color sensitivity, et ... it's hard to watch all them bright colors, :lol:.

I saw some pretty cool all gold Color Rush Saints ideas. They actually look a lot better then I thought in all gold.
