2016 Saints Draft Live Discussion Thread
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Oh settle down folks. I think Jenkins/Davison at the nose with Fairley/Rankins at the 3 technique is pretty good. We'll grab a DE, WR and guard too before the draft is over....

Jeff Ireland sucks. He got run off as GM for a reason. I read, don't post / troll a lot of other teams around the league's boards and they hated Ireland in Miami. I don't know why we hired this guy.

Rankins is the safe pick, not the sexy one. However, he could be outstanding at the DT position as he as the perfect size for it. The biggest issue for DTs is standing too tall, if you have played ball before you'll remember the saying low man always wins. Ranking being 6'1 gives him an edge at being the low man without having to work for it. For those that wanted Treadwell... lol, let's just draft all offensive players and let the UDFAs run the D. |

Rankins' size seems like somewhat of a weakness, but on the other hand, he can get leverage under guards and centers.
