Who wastes draft picks on interior O-linemen who aren't any better than what we have?

You don't think Connor McGovern, Vadal Alexander, or someone like that would have been better than what we currently have? Or Tretolo from Arkansas. All could have been had in the 4th, and a couple could have been had without trading up.

I don't think the Saints passed on any of them because they weren't good enough. They obviously had their hearts set on the player whose name is already eluding my memory.

Quite possibly all of them. I wanted Trae Turner last year. He went 4th round, and was pretty dominant as a rookie. Offensive line is a spot where lots of rookies can play right away if they are smart enough to learn the offense quickly. Evans is only going to get worse. It's time to upgrade. I can hardly believe you are passing off the idea of bringing Evans back as the reason they didn't take a guard. You didn't watch the same player the rest of us saw last year.

Name a better option right now. Evans was given the chance to sow his oats but nobody was willing to pay what he was demanding. You can't plug in a single rookie guard that can handle Payton's offense better than Evans at this point.

How the hell do you know that? I named all of the players I would have liked to see them draft. Evans knows the offense, but isn't near the player he once was. Should they bring Carl Nicks back, too? It's offensive line. Not QB.

If you're whole argument is based on experience, then you need to take back every positive thing you've said about the other draft picks whom you spent all day defending.

There are plenty of depth players in the UDFA pool.
