Louis Vasquez is a bit of a mystery. A few years back he was a hot commodity on the FA market. Now he is still out there. If there is some reason behind the scenes i do not know about, I do not get it.

Broncos signed OG Louis Vasquez to a four-year, $23.5 million contract.

The deal includes $13M guaranteed. The Chargers claimed that retaining Vasquez was a priority, but they never proved it with a contract offer. San Diego let the second-best guard available hit the market and he strengthened a division rival. Pro scouts around the NFL reportedly "love" free agent RG Louis Vasquez.

ESPN AFC West blogger Bill Williamson considered 25-year-old Vasquez the Chargers' "best offensive lineman" in 2012, and Pro Football Focus graded him as a top-13 overall guard. Vasquez, at 6'5/335, is a particularly effective pass blocker. He could be viewed as a better fit for left guard on the open market.
