Ron Dayne to visit? RON DAYNE?

I think Ron Dayne is a fine acquisition (if we get him). His running style is different from our other two backs, as Euph points out, but it isn\'t that different from McAllister\'s (other than Dayne tends to hit the hole faster but not get as far into the defense and doesn\'t have McAllister\'s speed in the open field). Thus, our line won\'t have to adjust too much (or be too surprised) when Dayne is behind them instead of McAllister.

Dayne is also a decent special teams contributer, and he can block on passing downs. As I recall his hands are a bit suspect, but he has a solid grip on the ball on rushing downs (doesn\'t fumble too often).

Once again, visits aren\'t the only way a team can negotiate/sign players. Sure, it is easy to get a handful of guys to come and look around, because they aren\'t waiting for the big money - they\'re looking for a place to play, period. Other guys, who are involved in serious (multi-team) negotiations, may not visit until they\'ve narrowed it down to a handful of possible suitors.
