Jack Tabb is eager to show the Saints what he can do
It was a rough time for Jack Tabb.
After hooking on with the Saints as an undrafted rookie last season, he was starting to make an impact during training camp when he went down and clutched his knee during training camp last summer. He was carted off the field with a torn ACL, which effectively ended his season. “It hurt me,” Tabb said. “As soon as I felt like I started making some plays, moving up, getting more reps, it all just kind of went like that. God works in mysterious ways, right?” There is still mystery about what Tabb can do as a player. During his best season at North Carolina, he caught 26 passes for 257 yards. That was likely more the result of the offense not providing the athletic tight end with opportunities, but it also makes it difficult to expect moving forward. Tabb is now to the point where he’s starting to get back in the mix and is hopeful he can get on the field and answer whatever questions remain about his ability in the near future. read more | |

Another weapon? Hope so but it won't be for Drew I fear. I think Drew will hit the free agent market next year if he declines at all this season. If he gets us to the playoffs and depending on how far he will get a new contract. It's time for GIGI that's Garrett Grayson for you thugs to get his chance.

Of those, maybe a third can make a team at all whether it be active roster or practice squad. I don't see any of those that entered the league over the past three years as having the potential to be as good as Brees is currently at this point of his career. You only see QB's of the quality of Brees come into the league maybe two or three times every ten years or so. It would not be a stretch to say that it may take another decade before the Saints luck into another QB that can perform as well as Brees is capable of playing today with all things considered.

Hopefully the game has slowed down for him and he can show the Saints what he has to offer. I want him to succeed but I want every player to succeed and I'm not picking favorites until we get to training camp. I want the best product that we can put on the field.
