Howard the hold up?
I think our front office is waiting to see what they get for Howard. If we get a stud LB, no sense signing Bell for 8 zillion dollars, when you're close to working out a Howard trade that may include Hartwell.
And no sense signing some FS when a Howard/Darius deal may be pending. Thats the only logical reason I can think of for our apparent lack of aggressiveness. |

Howard the hold up?
A Howard trade can\'t include Hartwell. He is a UFA. And the Jags just signed one of the top DEs available, don\'t think they will take another one. But I do see your point.

Howard the hold up?
I think the Howard trade is holding up getting that \"impact\" player that we will get once the deal gets done. However, Howard may very well be back. I wouldn\'t be surprised either way..
Howard has nothing to do with us NOT signing ANYONE. Players are shopping around just like the teams are. Right now what we\'re seeing are a bunch of players that are being overpaid. Not all of them, but most of \'em. I look for at least one player to be signed today or tomorrow. But, we\'ll see... |

Howard the hold up?
It\'s nice to think that\'s so. But they just signed Hayward to a big deal, and Stroud and Henderson make good money too. That would be the majority of their cap in D-line. I mean they MAY, go for that, but I don\'t know.

They both want contract extensions before they are traded.

Howard the hold up?
saintswhodi don\'t let them change your mind on Howard to Jags deal... its not happening. Best look else where for a trade and it may only get us draft picks, not players. I have a strong gut feeling Howard is playing in black and gold next year and either they work out a long term deal before the end of next season or New Orleans is going to be in rebuilding mode with little draft picks and losing the likes of key players.

Howard the hold up?
Who ever said that no news is good news is full of $h!t, we need to get our head out of our :eck05: before their is no one left to pick from. We need an \" impact player\" and in about a week their will probably be none left. A Howard trade for Hartwell would be fine with me. Not as sold on Darius though, But he would be better than T-Buck.

Howard the hold up?
we have a team full of impact players they just need to get their head out of there ass... we simply don\'t have a lot of cap to go out signing players... we also have to start making room to sign Deuce and Horn next year.
