Should the Saints try to sign Dwight Freeney, and other Twitter mailbag questions
The New Orleans Saints wrapped up their Organized Team Activity sessions earlier this week with next week's minicamp ending the team's early on-field offseason phase.
By far the most notable storyline occurred a few days ago when edge defender Hau'oli Kikaha reportedly tore the ACL in his knee. It's the third time he's sustained the injury while playing in college or the NFL. Should the Saints try to sign Dwight Freeney, and other Twitter mailbag questions | NOLA.com It couldn't hurt if we got him on the cheap cheap! Heck I hear a little birdie. Come here little birdie and let me smash....... never mind wrong thread |

Freeney could be a nice addition as a situational pass rushing specialist. Limit his snap count as needed and could be a very nice fit.

He won't come as cheap as we think...
He would help, but I would like to see the new talent we have. Need to give someone the chance to step up. As long as our answer isn't Richardson we'll be ok. |

When we got Champ Bailey and it didn't work out, I don't think it hurt us financially. But it left us short-handed and low on talent at the position. Could happen again with someone like Freeney.

Rankins, Fairley, Onyemata, Pettway, and Gwacham with Laurinaitis in the middle directing traffic, I think they will be fine.
