Brandon Coleman not safe!
ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett suggests Brandon Coleman's roster spot isn't assured.
Triplett writes "Coleman will need a strong preseason to secure his roster spot" after the Saints used a second-round pick on Michael Thomas, who is a similar style of player but far more talented. Triplett's statement is particularly notable because another Saints beat writer recently suggested Coleman was the favorite for the "big slot" role over Thomas. That never seemed likely. Re: Brandon Coleman not safe!
Agree, We will likely only keep 5.
With Harris coming on strong and Cooks, Snead guaranteed spots... 1. Cooks 2. Snead 3. Thomas That leaves 2 spots for the final 5. Those spots typically are filled with WR's who play ST's. Coleman doesn't. So he's competing with veteran Vincent Brown and upstart RJ Harris. I still think he has the inside track, but he'd better turn it up a notch. |

Re: Brandon Coleman not safe!
Just glad that we have a good competition at WR. Harris has a good deal of buzz. It is a little early to make these calls. We'll find out more as training camp opens and preseason games play out. Can't wait.

Re: Brandon Coleman not safe!
I think Coleman is a lock, just on his size alone.
Coleman 6'6" Thomas 6'3" Fleener 6'6" Good luck defending that in the redzone |

A bit early for me on this one. This will probably answer itself weeks from now. I never rule out 6 wr's on this team because....Payton.
