Re: New Orleans Saints: 5 Training Camp Battles to Watch
He was one of those players that I just could not shake by season end. Then got wrapped up into the pre draft beauty show and kinda put him on the back shelf. Then his pro day results rolled in and back haunting my draft list in late rounds.
Quickness out of his stance is a bit of an issue but there is a solid chance he can be coached out of that issue. Once he is moving he is a solid player all around. Nasty smart but needs to get the lead out of his azz out of the gate. So he is the one player in the draft that always stuck in my head that the saints added. a draft ghost I like Ryker upside more than Litto of whats his name. I hope the saints feel coaching is the answer to solving his quickness. All the OT/OG UDFA are all best suited inside at OG. Two might be good depth if all else fails at OT. Ryker Mathews - Best athlete and polished blocker of the group Avery Young - Not a tackles despite his build needs work Landon Turner - pass protection is a huge bug-a-bho with this big boy |
