Jonathan Sullivan speaks!
I\'m worried that Sullie thinks that his gravy train may be over and he\'s setting up the next contract negotiation by making a passing attempt at being a professional football player. When he gets his next contract, he\'ll go back to the slovenly, dispicable blob he was for the last two + years

... but you can\'t understand him for all the food in his mouth. Seriously, I don\'t guess this can be bad news. I\'m skeptical as to how excited we should be, but if he even plans to hit the field it\'ll be a step in the right direction. |

Is this the same Sully that was busted at the ATL game last year in the HOT DOG line?.......
Once A LAZY FATBOY always a ...well...you know... :casstet: |

I\'ve been saying it all along... just have some faith. We might get a surprise. A move in the right direction...

First, none of us know how Sullivan will perform this season.
It must have be a shock to Sullivan when Haslett benched his butt last season. You wanna talk about a wake-up call!! Haslett sent the message loud and clear to Sullivan. John Pease has sent a message to Sullivan also. He told Sullivan to not make any plans for the offseason and to remain in New Orleans to get whipped in shape. Sullivan could be pitching a fit about the coaching staff or whatever ..... But, he seems excited about doing the right thing. That\'s about all you can ask this time of year. Talk is cheap, though. All anyone can take from this is that it\'s encouraging to hear. I see where no negatives can be taken from what Sullivan said. Oh, I forgot what board I was posting on... :P The impact Sullivan COULD make on this defense is tremendous!! |

One thing I cannot forgive is laziness and lack of effort. If Sully survives - then he is a very lucky boy. I cannot see how I would have survived as anything with the same attitude and commitment level. But there you go.....
Yep give Sully a chance. But put him on a revised contract of league minimum with the possibility of bonuses for attaining severely high individual targets . |

How many years did Sullivan sign up for in his contract? I think that it\'s up after this season. If he doesn\'t break into at least the regular rotation, if not start, he\'s not going to be in the league, or if he is, he\'ll be at minimums, and be a practice dummy. So what does that tell his next employer that he was look squading for 2 years on what some here will term the WORST DEFENSE OF ALL TIME. Hell, even I can fake enthusiasm when my meal ticket\'s on the line.

If he fakes it well enough, though, then I\'m happy (whether he means it or not). The reason being he\'ll be more attractive as a trade.
