Is Grayson Ready to Step it up as a Backup?
Bears end up claiming Shaw after Saints share their intentions | ProFootballTalk
The Saints' attempt to claim Conner Shaw... was this a sign or simply an attempt for another camp arm? Brees will be around until he retires... as a Saint. But the time is now to develop a quality backup. Who do you think will step up and show the greatest improvement? |

JaMarcus Russell says he would 'play for free' for a chance to return to the NFL

I'm hoping Paytons turning him into a fine tuned machine to go along with that cannon of an arm.

The only way we will ever know is to let him play. How long did Rogers wait to get his chance ? I am not sure but as a general rule I don't remember seeing that many backups spending years on the bench coming through and becoming really good starters. Some of the people here know history better than me and maybe can enlighten me.

We usually head into cam with 4 QB's.
I don't think it is an implication of anything at all. I mean we know who our starter is right. duh. Anyone we pick up now is just a camp body. |

All I know is that the next Drew Brees isn't on our roster. I'm not even sure if he's in college yet.

Also, the Chargers drafted Rivers because they weren't sold on Drew Brees a a starting NFL QB.
Drew didn't really become a stud until his 4th year (with 43 starts under his belt) |
