Sorry. The amount you post doesn't make you elite. You have an opinion......nothing more.

I hate cops. When u get harassed and beat down by multiple cops it messes with your mental big time. I know from experience. As much as I hate them , there is no way I would even think about being happy that cops lost their lives. There are good ones out there and even the bad ones deserve a chance to change. They had absolutely nothing to do with the other shootings.

WE ARE ALL AMERICANS!

I ALSO AGREE GUN LAWS SHOULD HAVE PROTECTED THESE OFFICERS. You commit a felony, NO VOTE AND NO GUNS. It's the price for the felony, PERIOD!

Gun laws that are already on the books.

So what do we do if their are no police.

It's not a black and white choice between have police with little accountability and having no police. It's clear that the vast majority of police officers do an admirable and honorable job of serving and protecting the public on a daily basis.

However, in situations where excessive force is clearly used, then there needs to also be accountability in those situations. And in virtually every case, even in the face of video evidence, often that accountability is lacking.

The police are supposed to be the professionals in encounters with the public. We as civilians are supposed to trust that even in dangerous and stressful situations that they will remain calm and professional and follow proper protocol. It is difficult to see those traits in encounters where civilians pose no real threat yet have deadly force inflicted upon them.

It's not black and white. Virtually every police force in most civilized nations , including most police in this country, can and do protect and serve their citizens without shooting them dead.

I have to agree for the most part. Calling it "cold blooded killing" is both disingenouous and unhelpful. The most recent one that may be subject to debate is the shooting death of Walter Scott in South Carolina last year. But I don't even want to go there.

People always want to "put themselves in the blacks shoes". How about putting yourself in the officers shoes? Better yet, put yourself in my shoes. Try being a minority and a officer.
Can you help frame this for us then? While I agree that "cold blood" isn't on the table, it would be helpful to understand the thought processes that lead to the snap judgement to discharge a firearm into a citizen. Given what you have seen and heard about these two incidents how could each have ended differently? To the average person it seems unjustified because it doesn't seem like there is an obvious threat that demands lethal force in response. Is there another perspective that you can offer?

Hopefully these two guys get hit by a bus at an extremely high speed.

Best thing you've ever written, Danno.

Problems like these don't get solved with statistics and old lines of thinking. Step outside the box, reframe the question, and work backwards to the solution. Think laterally.

Well, thanks, I love you too. You ever think that maybe your actions are the reason for the officers? You ever think you should take the high road and change your hate and maybe the ones you call bad would change theirs? Ever think that the officer that "was just mean to you" is still affected by the last call where he had to clean up a crime scene where a child died? Officers are human too. Never forget that.
