Ever think that the officer that "was just mean to you" is still affected by the last call where he had to clean up a crime scene where a child died? Officers are human too. Never forget that.

There is never a reason for three grown men in power to beat down a handcuffed juvenile . I wasn't innocent. I was cussing them out but was a 14 year old idiot and I was handcuffed. I am actually agreeing with you. I would never wish death to a cop.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of these slain officers.

I 100 percent agree. My point is regardless of how you feel about someone or how much you dislike them no one deserves this. No matter what happens to someone there is no justification to cold blooded murder.

I have to agree for the most part. Calling it "cold blooded killing" is both disingenouous and unhelpful. The most recent one that may be subject to debate is the shooting death of Walter Scott in South Carolina last year. But I don't even want to go there.

Can you help frame this for us then? While I agree that "cold blood" isn't on the table, it would be helpful to understand the thought processes that lead to the snap judgement to discharge a firearm into a citizen. Given what you have seen and heard about these two incidents how could each have ended differently? To the average person it seems unjustified because it doesn't seem like there is an obvious threat that demands lethal force in response. Is there another perspective that you can offer?

SFIAH

Ill start with the Baton Rouge shooting. The officers tazed, then went hands on, then tazed again, then went hands on again. He fought through all of these things. We watched multiple videos in briefing on a big screen and broke it all down. The right hand of the suspect was free and heading down towards his pants. Now, the gun he had was a revolver. I train Jiu Jitsu and can create space. Who is to say he could not do the same? If he gets his hand down to his pocket he does not have to reach in the pocket to pull the trigger. The guy had a CH as long as my leg. The officers were use to dealing with him and had taken guns off him in the past. We never want to shoot a suspect but I do want to go home. Therefore before he shoots me I must shoot first. I promise you the DOJ will see it as a good shooting.

You and I have weeks to break down what happened. Those officers had a split second to decide to take his life. Not something ANY officer wants to do.

Well then, hating all cops would be like me saying a black guy beat me up so now I hate all blacks. Sounds dumb right?

No, it doesn't sound dumb at all...are we supposed to like black guys? Are there any black guys on here that can chime in?

I have 2 black children and they don't see people as color they see them as people and when an idiot appears they call them an idiot not a white or black one!

Yall, this is not where this thread needs to go. Everybody on here knows that. Don't take the bait. A few bad cops, a few thugs and a few radicals on the right and left are going to destroy what good we all have, black or white.

In late 2009, I saw a lot of black and white folks getting along just fine in the city, after coming together after so much a few years earlier. The Saints brought people together. Go do your race baiting on other sites, this is a football site.
