Agree, but its the off-season and predictions can be fun, albeit meaningless.
I prefer to look at the 2016 team on paper, compare apples to apples with other 2016 teams on paper to get a feel whether we have the ammo to compete for a championship. Personally I think our 2016 team on paper looks to be as competitive as any other team. We have strengths other teams don't have and weaknesses other teams don't have. From top to bottom I think we have 11 win talent. Injuries, luck, scheduling can all affect our record by numerous games. We could stay healthy and squeak out several really close games and finish 12-4. We could also suffer key or excessive injuries and lose several really close games and finish 5-11. On paper I think Carolina is just slightly better, and Atlanta and Tampa slightly worse. We definitely have the talent to compete for the division title and for a playoff spot. |
