The Cowboys need quarterback help, but New Orleans can't offer much in that category. The other option would be a defensive lineman -- or maybe a draft pick

We couldn't get 10 cents for Byrd. If we could he would have been long gone already. We can't even give him and his contract away.
Maybe they are going for him because he would be the difference between a great Oline and a phenomenal Oline. We already have Armstead who is probably the best lineman in the league, Unger who is pro bowl material, and Peat a first rounder that is showing promise. The pieces are there for a very good line, even with journeyman at the guard positions. Maybe the Saints just want to make that position group the most complete group on the team.
I'm thinking it's more of a want move than a dire need.
I wish we would have kept Grubbs.

I agree about Grubbs, we should have let Evans go.I didn't understand that at all. Grubbs played much better and looked good.

I recall reading that he has a neck issue that'll probably force an early retirement.

Although Evans will be visiting the Seahawks. Neither Grubbs or Evans will be what we need for right now. My fingers cross that either Leilito, Kelemete,or FA step up and solidify the OL

Way too early for Dallas to go after a backup. Some "name" will be available after the final cuts. The Saints need to consider keeping 6 QB's on the roster!!
