Do you think there was ever any confusion within the players of who was in charge of the defense when you and Rob were together?

"You'd have to ask the players that. I don't have the answer to that question. I don't think that was the case. I think I tried to make it as clear as possible that Rob was in charge, and Rob was in charge."

Allen gave the PC answer, but the reporters knew it and eventually got a few players on local news stated that there was less confusion now that one defensive coordinator (Allen) was in charge...

Payton should have just fired Ryan before the season and begun the inevitable; instead, the Saints FO went through the farce and motions that Ryan was going to be given a chance to turn it around...
You are so wrong it is absurd.
THEY HIRED SOMEONE INTO THE SAME EXACT POSITION DENNIS HAD LAST YEAR.
By that logic we again have two D coord's

Less confusion when Allen is in charge is not the same as your initial statement. It implies that Rob had the D confused. It stated he would change the entire dfense from mini-camp to training camp. How do you equate (all on your own btw) that Dennis and Rob being here caused the confusiomn, because we had just as many issues with confusion before Dennis ever arrived.

The players said that the calls for defense are shorter, that it is more streamlined so they do not have issues getting lined up. You took a situation, placed your spin on it, ignored the same confusion that existed in 14 and created a story that is completely false

I love how you also take and place this in underneath your link to the article as if it came from the article when in fact this came from you:

That is your ideas and language, not from the article.

Your team stinks

AND FOR GOOD MEASURE (SINCE YOU CONVENIENTLY CHOSE TO IGNORE IT) WE HIRED SOMEONE INTO THE POSITION DENNIS HELD LAST YEAR.

NFL offenses have changed quite a bit in the past couple years. WhAt was true years ago isn't true anymore. Especially under the new CBA.

I don't remember that at all. I remember a lot of uncertainty with Greg Williams coming in. Sharper was a question mark and the O pretty much tore them up all camp. Players were learning a new scheme .

That should put you at ease; because players are learning a new scheme again this year(to a lesser extent) and they're already ahead of the curve!

That year the defense was physically aggressive and they adopted the Gregg Williams philosophy of intimidation and took it to hard to the offense. The defense manhandled the offense during the '09 training camp so badly that they went to Payton and complained. Payton told them that they needed to man up and they did! They came back fighting and from that they developed the swagger that took them to the Superbowl.

Yes, they were brawling at the start of camp that year.

Your comment literally says nothing. It is empty. You detail nothing, discuss nothing, and you simply make a generalized statement without any substance.

I don't know about the complaining to SP but they were super aggressive and there was a real challenge between the O and D. The D was taking it to them early in camp.

I remember reports of Brees and Vilma squaring up to each other in practice, tensions were that high.
However on gameday, they were each others biggest supporter.
