this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; "Listen, it is not a fine line, it is a wide bright line. It is obvious," said Payton. "You cannot play a game and it happened the other day in practice, we go three snaps in a row with 10 ...

"Listen, it is not a fine line, it is a wide bright line. It is obvious," said Payton. "You cannot play a game and it happened the other day in practice, we go three snaps in a row with 10 guys on the field. So we go out there we have 12, we have 12, we have 10. Listen, that has to be cleaned up. That's all of it. That's not just players."

Thats why I take issue with the people who keep saying "same things were said last year blah blah blah"

This year is completely different than last year at this time. Last year's camp we kept hearing how awful and confused the defense was, and on the flipside how great Snead and Breaux were doing.

Turns out most of what went on in camp good and bad continued into the season.

Yes, we all know its only training camp and a lot can change, but this season feels like we're heading in the right direction and fast.

I agree. It's nice to hear how kick ass the defense is doing. They need that chemistry.

Yep, I remember feeling scared about the D last year because of the 2014 results and then the news coming out of there. This same stuff had been happening in 2014. Remember games where guys couldn't get off the field, miscues and all that stuff in '14 as well.

Damn at least we can get lined up this year and be ready to attack...that's a victory in itself

Agree. A lot of what happens in camp rolls over into the regular season. Payton promised the mistakes would get corrected, and the only way that he could keep that promise was by firing RR.

Lot of optimism this season after last seasons embarrassment. I hope they are using last years Redskin tape as a learning tool.

Have to disagree here. This is a "burn the tape" situation. Many of the principals of the defensive debacle from the last year or two are gone. Examining that horrid past can do little but shake the confidence of the current unit.
