I think coaches need to be just as versatile as they want their players to be. Not everyone responds well to getting yelled at with derogatory profanity.
They need to be careful how they try to motivate David Onyemata. I remember a story a friend of mine told me from Gonzales who knew Glenn Dorsey. When Dorsey was a rookie, Dorsey was cursed lower than a dog constantly, and it really didn't help him at all. It actually backfired and demotivated him. I think it had a lot to do with why one of the better DT's from LSU faded into oblivion. |
