He has some off the field issues with either the types of people he hangs around, or he's a dumb thug. Time for your Aints to decide. He's a hell of a football player, one that can easily move in at corner and start playing for your Aints. Good bye Fred?

But you've been warned. He's got some personal issues going on and they seem to all be focused around his decision making processes. Great difference maker on the field and I'm going to hate seeing him twice the year....
Hard hitter but gets beat at times when covering a reciever coming at him. Very nosy so should help your run stop but then again its good to have a nosy FS that can also run fast. Good sign but too much money i think. If we draft M.Wlliams then i say he will be no difference maker for you guys when we play u 2x a year. Clayton and Williams will be too much for your secondary
He wanted to leave the Bucs because he felt his best position was at CB, not safety, yet that is where the Aints will play him. He's undersized to play safety, and can get outmuscled in the air when it's anybodys ball. He's a hitter though, and a hustler. I remember a play this season vs KC, where he ran the length of the field to chase down Eddie Kennison, who was cruising in for a TD. He came up from behind and punched the ball out, and the Bucs recovered. Then they went down the field and scored a TD, a 14 point turnaround, in a game the Bucs won like 33-31.

We will miss him, because we remember his big plays during the Super Bowl, and he easily could have been the MVP. But we have over $20 mil in cap money tied up in Brooks and Rice, and over $5 mil more on Booger, so we couldn't afford everybody. I believe the actual SB MVP, Dexter Jackson, will be given every oppourtunity to reclaim the starting job, and if he fails, we have a young player in Will Allen ready to step up and take Smiths job.
Indeed.... Smith has made some big plays during his career as a Buccaneer, that is a fact. I remember that game against the Chiefs very well. It will be a challenge for him if he remains at corner for the year, but I think he'll be ok. One thing is for sure, he won't be getting the number 26!
