Re: Well it's over guys
I think a big reason Peat is shuffling around, isn't simply because they need help at different positions, but because they are trying to find some place where he isn't a complete liability. I thought he was incredibly underwhelming before they ever drafted him, and I sat here and watched the obligatory "don't judge him until he plays a down" comments last year.
But the fact is he is proving his doubters right, and until he turns it around, I don't know why anyone wants to make excuses for him. Shuffling around is not the reason for his struggles. His struggles are the reason for the shuffling. If you can play LT, where you are going against the other team's best pass rusher, then there's no excuse to not be able to handle the other side. I think he is a horrible fit for the interior, and I don't know why they would try him there for any reason other than to just throw something against the wall and hope it sticks. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Being from the UK I'm not too sure, but isn't Stanford supposed to be a school for smart people?
So if Peat came from Stanford, how can he not grasp simple blocking assignments, no matter if he switches between positions in training camp. |

I don't think its so much about grasping the scheme or assignments as it is not getting enough time on one spot to get comfortable at that position. On an NFL level you need to be in a position where you feel good and can just do what you are supposed to without thinking about it. Just switching stance is a MAJOR thing.

Very few can avoid the 1/4 second delay in reaction that it takes to prevent a TD and force a PBU. Hopefully Peat just needs some more time to sync his brain to his reactions and footwork. So far it looks like that may not happen. |

Re: Well it's over guys
It would not surprise me at all to see an Ingram trade at some point. He has value, the Saints can blame the lack of production on his part this preseason on the offensive line. I think he is about all we have and the other backs didnt seem to do much worse and maybe even better.
