Devery was an awful second round pick that Sean Payton and Curtis Johnson were able to reclaimate rather than cut loose...

Payton and Loomis did everything within reason to draft Glenn Dorsey, but the Chiefs' President Carl Peterson held the fifth pick for a King's ransom...

They still gaffed though and took USC Sedrick Ellis who promptly held out and never worked a day in his life for the Saints and its fans...

SP doesn't hate on LSU...

Peyton didn't draft Henderson if I recall correctly. Those who don't believe this bias always bring up guys we wanted to draft but didn't. I love how the Cardinals raid LSU and SEC players. I bet the Cardinals D is great this year with Peterson, Matthieu, NKimdiche and others. Peyton likes big 10 and Midwest players. There are too many awesome LSU players in the NFL for the Saints to have zero. Kwon Alexander 4.3 40, 3rd Rd pick starts for Tampa. Stanley Jean Baptiste over Jarvis Landry. KV over Eric Reid. I could go on and on. We won't take Fournette no matter what, even though all of Louisiana would love it and hes more athletic than AP. I think Peyton s worst trait is talent evaluation especially in early Rds. We have hit on some late picks and free agents. When was the last time we drafted a great first Rd pick? Or 2nd?
