Kikaha PUP, not IR
had to look this one up...
He can come off the preseason PUP to the active roster any time before the regular season begins (not remotely likely) Regular season PUP- Must sit out the first 6 weeks and can then start practicing. There are two deadlines for moving to season long PUP: 1) 5 weeks after the 6 weeks a decision must be made, OR 2) 21 days after the player's first practice a decision must be made theoretically he could join the active roster at the beginning of week 7, or as late as the end of week 11. Or of course, not at all. We can also bring one player back early from IR, so it will be interesting to see what we do with Rankins |
Re: Kikaha PUP, not IR
Funny you brought that up ...
Per Nick Underhill, SWANN is headed to IR (per league source). |

What are the actual odds thought Kikaha will be back before the season ends? I'm not certain.

Re: Kikaha PUP, not IR
They did this with Victor Butler when he tore his ACL a couple years ago. I'm not really sure what the advantage is of leaving a guy on the PUP if it's obvious he's not going to play this season.
