D-buck, I like him too. He is an RFA, and I got luke warm reception around here when I mentioned him.
I\'d really like to see us move Howard for a proven LB. I\'d thow in some draft picks if we could get a guy like Keith Bullock. |

I kinda equate Fujita with James Allen or Sedrick Hodge. He\'s a warm body to fill a hole in the lineup, but if he was really any kind of impact player KC\'s defense wouldn\'t have been almost as lousy as our\'s this past season.
In fact - when taking the defensive lineups as a whole - it could be argued that we have MORE talent on defense than KC, but we were still worse. Sigh ... another argument for another day. In any event, we\'re just looking at signing warm bodies now as far as FA LB\'s go. Might as well bring Hodge back... |

• LB Scott Fujita, Kansas City (compensation: fifth round): Surprising that the Chiefs made him the low-level tender because he is a quality defender, quick and active, and has started the past 2½ seasons. A player with compelling length (6-feet-5 and 250 pounds) and good movement skills. Over the last two seasons, in which he started every game, Fujita has 204 tackles, 8½ sacks and six passes defensed.
