Why in the world would the Pack cut him this close to start of season? What does McCarthy know? Proceed with caution.

I am guessing refused pay cut, but that is just a guess

The reports at this point seem to suggest exactly that. Even more reason to keep him off the open market. If a bidding war starts we're not likely to win it.

When the rest of the league heard we were cutting All-Pro Jahri Evans loose, teams just lined up because we foolishly let him geaux?

I'd feel better trading for a guard a team is retaing but has the depth at the position to make it happen...like the Eagles...

Something's wrong that they're cutting him loose...
