Re: DREW BREES
It's not his money, it's not your team, it's not our problem. So why are we all here and what are we talking about?
If people don't agree they can state their reasons. Instead, I see more and more posts of people reminding other fans that they aren't part of the team. We all get that. Why the crap, then, do you have the right to an opinion when it isn't your money or team to manage? I'm sorry, but this just makes my blood boil on a daily basis. I don't get the double standard. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

I don't care what the front office does. I have no control over it so I don't worry about it.

But some people are more emotionally invested in the team, and the bottom line is that money matters. There are a lot of things that go on that aren't in our control, but we still talk about it. If you want the team to do well then you might also want them to make smart decisions, since that is kind of essential to being successful. There's just no reason to condescend to someone over something like that. |

It is going to happen how it happens and that's it. Same as the money part. Waste of energy.

But I do, all the same, have opinions on certain decisions. The point I'm trying to get across in the spirit of not concerning ourselves with things we have no control over, is that we as fans have no control over ANYTHING, anyway. We might as well not watch football, because why concern ourselves with winning or losing. We don't play for them, and we don't have any legal stake in the organization. But clearly, we still care. So while I don't promote panic or overly negative content, I don't think it's bad to question the team. It's easy to say it doesn't matter, but you have to stop and remember what you are as a fan and know that if we're really honest about it, we're all just a little nutty. That's not a bad thing. Now SOME people have a tendency to say some really outrageous things. I won't name them, but we all know who they are. Those are the types I try to ignore as much as possible until I feel like my head is going to explode if I don't say something. |
