We do better with low expectations
The Saints always seem to underperform when expected to contend and outperform when picked to be lousy.
We've got the perfect storm setting up here... The media has already given the division to Carolina. The Saints are expected to struggle to repeat last year's 7 wins. Brees is assumed to be declining. The defense is assumed to be as bad. Ok I may be wrong but I have a feeling about all this. Maybe it's just gas, but I think we are going to surprise and make a run for the playoffs and if EVERYTHING falls into place a 10 win season! Now on to a win at home against the Raiders and a share of the division lead! |

Re: We do better with low expectations
There are a lot of "if's" that can break either way for this team. I don't think 10 wins is unrealistic. I pretty much expect between 7 and 10 wins. I don't expect a big breakout. Some more work is needed, in my opinion, to expect them to be Super Bowl contenders or anything like that. If they do things right we could be talking about that type of team next year.
But this team should be at least decent. |
