Re: Worse thing about today's loss
It was a loss we couldn't afford.
This season opener belonged in the W column. Gave up 22 in the 4th quarter. I'm pushing for 20 the whole game. We hold teams to 20 and we win 12 games. Interior D gave it up today. That was suppose to be the BIG improvement. No pass rush killed the DBs ability to cover. The best things was - as mediocre as it was, only loss by 1 on a long FG miss at the end. Chalk it up to 1st game jitters. Cam will show up (we hope), Anthony gets back in game shape, Fairley and Davidson get some 5-hour-energy and the 4th quarters begin to look like the 1st 3 quarters. |

Re: Worse thing about today's loss
Payton's clock management. It astounds me that such an offensive wizard
can be so dumb with the clock. We knew our defense sucks. Payton needs to read John Madden's book: "I am the only Raider who can call timeout." We do not walk up to the line and call time out. We'll give the 5 yards for delay of game, but we will need those timeouts at the end of the game. If we had 2 timeouts. We walk away with a W yesterday. All 3 were wasted. |

Re: Worse thing about today's loss
The worst thing was that sinking feeling that hit me in the gut during the third quarter. I felt depressed all day yesterday, and still just shake my head and wonder what the Hell Loomis was thinking would happen to our secondary if an injury occurred?

I even said to the Mrs, just watch, here come the saints of 2014 and 2015 and it unfolded exactly that way. |
