Re: so
It's also funny how NE can make a sucessful conversion of their D. Some years they run a 3-4, some years they run a 4-3. Belichick dictates this transition with great success. He hires the coaching staff and does his homework to fit whatever scheme and players serves him best with either scheme. He has great success in trading players, replacing players, getting rid of aging players and drafting players. The guys like a wizzard at building D's to compliment his offense.

Re: so
Its ok saying injuries but no team will be injury free and we are a rookie DT down(albiet a 1st rounder) and now a CB. Its inexcusable that we are left with a 2nd year first game rookie and 2 UDFA as the only cover. They may prove good enough but there is a reason 31 CBs were chosen before them in the draft.

Re: so
Also add on that the Pats are without Ninkovic

Re: so
I see what you're saying Pher, but I don't wanna think about it. NE is a strong team. Great defense and offense. Our problem, as it has been since 2014, is an absolutely terrible defense. I think we'll be better this year, but some adjustments have to be made.

Re: so
The Patriots played with great passion last night. I'm not sure if it was 9/11 or missing Brady, but they played with great fire, especially Edelman.
It's impressive when players wash out with other teams - such as Blount, Chung, Sheard - and they become cornerstones for the Pats. They would get an amazing game out of Laurinitis, whereas we only coach him to be a stopgap. That is the difference. |

Re: so
Hate to admit it but Belichick is a smart Coach probably one of the best in the league. It appears that SP has great respect for him.
