this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Ok guys, I'm gonna make this very brief. I have only one question to ask. In the game against Oakland, did ANY Saints player or coach remain seated or kneel instead of standing during the National Anthem?...

Re: Only 1 question
Not that I know of. Knowing Sean Payton, I am sure he addressed that, as I expect Bill Belichick did with the Patriots.

Re: Only 1 question
Thank you. Then I will continue to support our team, but I will not support any team that allows any of its players to disrespect the country that has entitled them to become wealthy. I will turn off any game where even one player disrespects our country. I am now even MORE PROUD of my team for continuing to show their respect for America.

Re: Only 1 question
The thing some players are doing by raising a fist, but still standing, I do not mind. I think that is a respectful way to show solidarity with their message while also respecting the flag.

Re: Only 1 question
Not so sure about that. The raised fist during the anthem is the symbol of the Black Panthers. Last year the former leader of the New Black Panther Party, Malik Zulu Shabazz, called for the Panthers to rise up and build an army to kill police on his radio program. The shooter in the Dallas police killings was a member of the Black Panthers facebook page. On many levels the raised fist is more disturbing than kneeling or sitting.
