Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
1 Attachment(s)
Saints sign cornerback B.W. Webb to help offset the temporary loss of starter Delvin Breaux after he suffered a broken fibula in Week 1.
I think most assumed we'd bring back Finnegan, but ok... Welcome to the team Webb! |
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
I don't think a Finnegan signing is in the plans down in N.O.
|
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
well that rights the ship.

Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
B.W. Webb...
That sounds like the name of an investment firm. Cool. |
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Who the hell is this ****ing guy.
This is why I can't understand how we can go into the season with one starting CB. We knew nothing of the other guys because nobody had even played a down in a real game. No depth. Breaux doesn't go down and we win hands down. I do think the other guys did a pretty decent job considering they had absolutely no pressure up front. I hope that changes but I'm not holding my breath. |
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Who exactly did you expect to be available 1 week into the 2016 season at cornerback?
|
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Trade Ingram and/or draft picks to another team to get someone legit.

Ingram........12 carries for 58 yards.

Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Trading Ingram wouldn't make sense.
This guy doesn't exactly inspire confidence though Dallas CowboysEdit Webb was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round (114th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.[3] Coming from a small college background, he looked overmatched in the appearances he made as a slot cornerback. He was eventually benched in favor of Sterling Moore, who was re-signed on November 25 after being released before the start of the season. He was inactive for the final game. In the next year training camp, he was passed over by undrafted free agent Tyler Patmon and was waived on August 28, 2014.[4] Pittsburgh SteelersEdit Webb was claimed off waivers by the Pittsburgh Steelers on August 29, 2014.[5] He was activated for 11 games and played mainly on special teams. He was released on September 5, 2015. Tennessee TitansEdit On September 9, 2015, he was signed to the Tennessee Titans practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster on November 8th, 2015 for a game against the New Orleans Saints in which he recorded his first career interception. On September 2, 2016, he was released by the Titans as part of final roster cuts.[6] |
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Ingram is probably our 3rd best player on the team, no way we should trade him, he has plenty of great years ahead of him.
|
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Moore will be the starter.
|
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Well that problem is solved! What's next?

Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
I love Ingram as a player my only concern has been his inability to see out 16 games. But when he gets rolling he is hard to stop. I do think he took alot of poor criticism early on,but it should be remembered he came out of college early and is still only 26 and entering his prime

Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
What did Cortland do to not be signed back? I just don't get it, it don't make sense.

Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb

Read on another Forum that Cortland was rumored to having second thoughts about playing football again. Not sure if this is accurate but that's the latest I've seen on him. |
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Get Finnegan back in here and we'll have experience at CB to pair with our other recently signed vets.

Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
Let Von play safety and trade Byrd for a quality CB if you can get anything for him

Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
So his first interception was against the Saints. Other then that...um...this guy is pretty much filler. He'll probably be cut as soon as our young guys get situated.

Aug 17, 2009 METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints cut Jason David on Monday, letting go of a former starting cornerback who made his share of big plays, but gave up even more. Ya think! |
Re: Saints Sign CB B.W. Webb
lately the Saints seem like they're running a fantasy football squad with how they add and drop folks

Ingram was a top 5 RB last year before he got hurt. It's been one game. Lets not cut offensive starters which is the ONLY thing keeping us from going 0-16. |
