I migrated over, like many of us, from that hell hole, SR, which I joined in 1995. And, yes, there has always, and always will be, a degree of *****ing. When winning seven games is considered great there is *****ing when you win less. What we have now is leaps and bounds greater than what we have had since the early 90's.
