Re: If anyone is interested.....UncleSamSports
Hoping i could get a bit of help on something im interested in writing about from you guys.
I was looking at what states and colleges produce the most NFL players and the stats i found state the top 10 states for NFL players are 1 Florida 193 2 California 187 3 Texas 160 4 Georgia 97 5 Ohio 80 6 Pennsylvania 66 7 Louisiana 63 8 Alabama 60 9 New Jersey 50 10 South Carolina 48 Now non of that list shocks me and youd expect California,Texas and Florida to be high but with populations between 20-38 million people each its obviously not a surprise you would produce in numbers. But why do you think that the South Eastern states of Louisiana,Georgia,Alabama and South Carolina produce so many players? If they were one state they would only be a few million people more than Florida and still smaller than Texas and vastly smaller than California in population terms but the player turn out would be 1 South East 268 2 Florida 193 3 California 187 4 Texas 160 Why does the SEC produce more top tier talent than the rest. Is it the old adage from boxing that sports is a way out of poverty. Any help would be great |
"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!
