Saints Prospects: Louisville

Don't know if any of you are watching Louisville absolutely put on a clinic against Florida State, but...

1) They've got D-Linemen two deep on this team...

2) Payton's offseason priority MUST be to interview their Def Coordinator Todd Grantham and D-Line Coach L.D. Scott

If you want to see a clinic on rushing the passer, stunting and camouflaging blitzes - this is the clinic to see...

State is absolutely getting taken to the wood shed...

Todd really understands stunts/gaps. Just about every team he has been on, the D line has improved. I recall Rankins speaking very highly of him right after he was selected by the Saints in his growth and development.

I've had enough of Bill Johnson.

Side note - Louisville really slapped FSU around early and often.

JP,

Keep your eye on #92 for Louisville through out the season. Devonte Fields - 6'4 OLB. Watched him slaughter QB's at Arlington Martin High (8 miles down the road from me). Potential NFL stud.

Can't use him - Dennis Allen is a 4-3 guy...;)

As of right now Chad Kelly looks like he MAY thrive on a Payton offense.

Was reading about him in a mock draft the other day. Sounds a good player but a complete A-hole off the field.

Yea he is Manziel 2.0. Not that bad but he's kind of whiney too. Last year he ran off the field and into the locker room before the game was over because he got butt hurt about it.

You guys make sure you get all those prospects together to hand to Loomis and Payton.

Kelly's not too smart; Payton's system is not for the dumb*sses...

One play, 3rd & 6, when Ole Miss was getting momentum in first half, they caught Bama with too many men on the field and the dumb*ss failed to take the snap and get the penalty...

He'd be a three year project, minimum, and you can see what happens after two years 'round here...

Ive not watched much of him but from what i have he seems to think the world owes him due to his name. You cant put your franchise future in the hands of somebody like that.

If we got rid of a decent backup qb because of his partying lifestyle off the field, why would we draft this guy?

Ryan Griffin outperformed Grayson last year(okay he wasn't backup but third string) in pre-season. And in April(months earlier), he gets his face smashed with a shampagne bottle after going to club with friends at 4 in the morning.

Basically why would they get rid of this guy if he was playing better than Grayson?

What is your purpose for being on this forum? There seems to be literally nothing that you don't have something sarcastic to say about. You want everyone to sit back, have no opinion and just "enjoy being a fan", but when people try to enjoy themselves by talking about possible players the team might look at in the draft, you don't like that either.

I guess my question was rhetorical. I know what your purpose here is. To troll everyone and make no effort to act like a fan. You're like a guy screaming into a megaphone in a library.

We should send one of these to the Mickster with a note that reads
"Complements of the Black and Gold...P.S. His name his Guido!"

Just amused by Pretend GM's.

top 32? not so much

now later in the draft they will have some solid players on the board. Those could be steals

Josh Harvey-Clemons SS/LB 6-5 212 is one that jumped out to me. deep speed is a bit lacking but the kid has solid instincts weaving through traffic. heck of a hitter also.

Talking about prospects does not make one a pretend GM. A lot of people thought the team would draft Rankins in the first last year, and they did. It's not really hard to identify a certain set of prospects whom we think the team might target, and then narrow it down as the draft approaches.

Nobody is pretending anything. It's called watching football, and trying to make an educated guess. I personally don't worry a whole lot about prospects this early in the year, but I don't mind that others want to do it. Neither should anyone else. You contribute nothing to the forum by not even stopping to think if these players being talked about could be potential draft targets. Instead you just do what you do, over and over again.

It's not a thread criticizing the team, which we all know how much you hate when people do that. It's a perfectly normal part of being a fan and talking about players. What is your problem with that?

Nothing if that is what it remains. But every year it turns into the same exercise for the Pretend GM's when the actual draft happen. They all ***** and moan when the front office doesn't follow their individual drafting strategy. Besides, these threads belong in the college forum, not in the Saints forum.

It pertains to the Saints. It could go in either forum.

It would be one thing if this WERE the draft and you didn't like people's opinion on the draft. But that isn't happening here. You're nitpicking.

And maybe if the Saints had a better track record in drafting, people wouldn't doubt them so much. Maybe consider that, for a change.

You need to make your own forum for grouchy people. Now you think you can dictate what belongs in what thread? If people are talking about the Saints, including players they may draft, then it goes in the Saints forum.

But it's ridiculous that I should even explain it. You can very easily just hit the back button and move away from this thread, if you don't like it.

Instead of littering the Saints forum with these disconnected threads why not put them all in the College forum where they belong. Labeling them as "Saints Prospects: (Insert College Name Here)" does not make them Saints subject threads. Hell, you can have over 200 threads with the Pretend GM's talking about obscure players that will never be considered, at least by anyone that actually makes real decisions.

This is a FAN website. This is not neworleanssaints.com

If people are talking about the Saints, there is no reason for it to be in any other specific forum. You just have to gripe about something. What a hypocrite. You say that fans complain too much, when the ONLY thing you do is complain. Nothing is good enough for you.

And what's this about obscure prospects? These aren't obscure players being talked about. If we know who they are, then all 32 NFL teams must know as well.

It's plainly obvious... If people are saying anything other than "go saints", you don't like it. So there is no reason for you to come on here. People don't sign up to a forum just to wave their pom poms. It's a way to pass the time by talking football. If you came here to read "go saints", you're better off writing it on the back of your hand so can look at it whenever you want.
