this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Second time in a week that I saw Jason David's name on this board. You know a lot of us paid good money to Psychotherapists to get him out of our heads....

Re: What's the word on PJ Williams
He wasn't a good CB, but he gave it 110% on every play and never blamed anyone else. If Jonathan Sullivan had 1/2 the heart and drive Jason David had, he would have been a multiple pro bowler.

Re: What's the word on PJ Williams
I agree. I met him once and he was a super nice guy. We actually had a long conversation that had nothing to do with sports. He has a very positive outlook on life and believes in the process of positive thinking

Re: What's the word on PJ Williams
Jason David excelled in the Cover 2. He was doomed to failure the way he was used.

Re: What's the word on PJ Williams
David was a zone CB who we put on an island as a boundary CB. His failure had more to do with us assuming he was more than a NB or DB.
It hurts my feelings when people ridicule him, he was a class player |

Like Danno said
Keenan Lewis - Gone - next man up Delvin Breaux - Gone - next man up PJ Williams - Gone - next man up Kyle Williams - Gone - next man up Damian Swann - Gone - next man up 6th man up and on is getting mighty thin |

It doesn't really matter how they used him. He signed a big money deal and knew exactly what they wanted him to do. He wasn't forced to sign that deal. You follow the money, you don't produce, you don't get much sympathy. The subject of misusing players is a different story. It's been brought up plenty. But questioning the wisdom of management and coaches is generally frowned upon. |
